DESIGN
The innovative patented design achieves the greatest internal width for the benefit of the horse whilst keeping the external dimensions less than most other trailers for ease of towing.
The horse area is completely enclosed to protect horses from traffice and wind noise. This reduces stress and creates a greater feeling of safety for the horse. |

CHASSIS
The basis of any trailer is its chassis. Equi-Trek have gone to great lengths to ensure that the chassis on their trailers are carefully balanced and precision engineered. They are made from high grade steel which is hot dip galvanised to ensure a long and trouble-free life. |

SUSPENSION
Suspension is very important and even more so when carrying livestock.
The independent swinging arm suspension on Equi-Trek trailers was specifically selected for its smooth and quiet ride quality as well as its exceptional stability.
This modern type of suspension is far more advanced in terms of ride quality and noise suppression than the old fashioned leaf spring system. |

WHEELS AND TYRES
Each wheel has an individual brake to provide powerful control of the trailer as well as incorporating an automatic reverse feature. To compliment our suspension system we use low profile tyres which help to reduce flex in the tyre walls. this reduces the inclination for the body to sway which further improves safety and ride quality. |

COUPLING
The couplings have built-in anti-theft locks for increased security and break away cables for safety . |

BODY
The body is constructed from strong, durable GRP panels with aerodynamically designed fibreglass front moulding. This type of construction ensures a long trouble-free life with low maintenance. |

LIGHT AND VENTILATION
All-round opening windows and roof vents provide ample light and ventilation whilst adding to the feeling of internal space. |

FLOOR
The horse stands on heavy duty shock absorbing rubber which is laid over a strong aluminium floor with adequate drainage. |

PARTITION
The fully adjustable partition can easily be altered to accommodate different sized horses and can be perfectly positioned for your horse's comfort. Each trailer has the added benefit of a full width padded breast bar. |

KICK BOARDS
To help protect the inside of the trailer from damage, the horse area walls have a high impact kick resistant lining. |

RAMP SAFETY DOORS
These doors help to guide the horse up the ramp and into the trailer, prventing them from stepping off the side of the ramp, reducing the possibility of injury. All Equi-Trek trailers come with the safety loading doors as standard. |

OWNERS ACCOMMODATION
We believe that it is very important to have a totally separate area away from the horses. Wh have therefore provided a room which can be kept clean for cloting, changing, eating etc. without having to endure the inconvenience of direct contact with sweaty horses, hay nets and the inevitable smell ! All Equi-Trek trailers have this invaluable feature from the tack/changing room in the Space Treka to the luxury living accommodation in the Star Treka. |

RAMP
The low wide ramp provides easier and safer loading as the horse is encouraged to enter a light spacious area with less feeling of confinement.
The ramp is situated on the offside so that the handler remains between the horse and the exit whilst the horse is being secured. This reduces the risk of being trapped in a confined area by an excitable horse. also, the horses is being lead from its nearside which most horses are more accustomed to, so this gives the horse more confidence when loading.
Unloading is made easier because the horse exits the trailer by walking forwards down the wide ramp, eliminating the need to turn in a tight space or go backwards.
